Use the form below to enter an event that will replace the BST/GMT countdown on the home page.
Have a countdown to a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any special occasion you like. Try a countdown to lunch, the time to leave work or perhaps a meeting.
Whatever you choose to countdown to, it will be shown on the home page. At the end of your countdown the BST/GMT countdown will return.
The event information is stored as a cookie on your computer so it will only be available from the computer you set it from. You can of course set the same countdown on multiple computers if you like.
Countdown requires that your browser is set to accept cookies and has Java enabled.
The countdown is calculated from the date and time on your PC.
Once you have set your event, return to the Home Page to see it running.
The text box 'Event' is where you enter the text that you want to appear above the countdown. You must enter something here for a countdown to be set. The maximum length of this text is 40 characters.
If you have an event cookie stored on your computer then the event will be shown here whenever you visit this page. You will also see a 'Delete This Event' button which will delete the event if clicked. The event cookie is set to expire at the same time and date of your event.
An allowance is made for an event that occurs in the following daylight saving period.
